KENDWA ROCKS recommends a visit to the beautiful Usambara mountains to all who have min 4-5 days to spend. A boat can be organized from Kendwa to Pangani to make the trip shorter. Eastern Usambara is more distant but w/ good accommodation options, while Western Usambara is more rich in biodiversity and contains Tanzania's first National Park, the Amani Forest Reserve.
