KENDWA ROCKS is located on the north coast of Zanzibar, 55 kilometres from Stone Town and just a few kilometres south of Nungwi village.

Kendwa Rocks takes its name from nearby Kendwa village, and the coral rock formation that offers magnificent views above the beach. Look out across the sea to the distant island of Tumbatu and its lighthouse. Laze all day long on the beautiful white, coral-and-seashell beach. Thrill daily at the beautiful sunset. THE RESTAURANT

serves mainly Zanzibari, Arab and Indian dishes, tasty with coconut milk, spiced with fresh ginger, lime, chili, coriander, turmeric, cumin, clove, cinnamon and cardamom from the island’s spice gardens. The menu is based on the day’s catch: fish, calamari, octopus, prawns or crab. Vegetarian choices are always available. On festive days a delicious barbeque buffet is served on the beach.
